Understanding Social Media & ROI

Social media is a vital part of any organisation and if you don’t have it, you’re not in the game. However be prepared, when you set up your accounts/profiles, you will need to invest in your social platforms and social media success doesn’t always translate into dollars and cents.
You may be asking yourself, ‘why would I bother investing in Social Media if I won’t see a return?’. Fair question but remember: social media is a powerful tool and can enhance your brand, services & products and create a personal relationship with your followers (clients). Something dollars and cents can’t buy.

STRATEGY IS IMPORTANT

When you create your social media platforms, also create your social media strategy. Basically, decide on your end goal and what you want your social platforms to achieve and why. This will be the foundation of your social media journey. End goals might be to increase brand awareness, build an online community, attract new patients or inform patients about up and coming events/products.

MEASURE, ANALYSE & REPEAT

A common mistake that most businesses/practices make is that they will post something and never look back.
They will never measure the results of the post:

  • Who it reached
  • Who was engaged
  • Who responded

They never analyse the posts:

  • Why it worked
  • Why it didn’t work
  • How can we make it better?

YOU WILL SEE RESULTS

The data from your social media posts will determine your ROI. By calculating more than the dollars and cents you can determine the success of each post and continue to strengthen your social media following and connection with your brand.
Patients and appointments will begin to flow in from that, sooner or later… however, remember social media marketing requires a purpose in every action you take. To give yourself the maximum chance of success, keep your end goal in mind, measure and analyse the effectiveness of your content always.
For support, we can work with you to address your social media needs based on your goals & budget.

An interesting discussion is definitely worth comment. I believe that you need to publish more on this subject matter, it might not be a taboo subject but usually people do not discuss these issues. To the next! Best wishes!!

Hey superb blog! Does running a blog like this take a large amount of work? I have absolutely no expertise in computer programming however I had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyways, if you have any ideas or tips for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject however I simply wanted to ask. Thanks!
